Today was my opportunity to show what I was capable of. I was running the store. I got up at normal time for a weekday and was at work at 8.45 even though we didn't open until 10. I spent an hour cleaning and preparing the store for opening as well as preparing my morning brief.
At 9.40 the other staff arrived and I gave my brief, a bit of a break from the norm, with some challenges and I introduced the days incdntive, a straight battle for sales between the 2 guys.
Before I started I was nervous, but my nerves soon went, when the customers started coming, and the boys started selling. We pulled out some big numbers, certainly the biggest for a Sunday in a while. So i'm a very happy boy.
Now it's home for some family time and to rest up for another great day tomorrow.
